To start off, I am

"To start off, I am new to bike shoes in general so my take may not be too informative as those with experience. The shoes are very comfy! I have wide feet and was worried about the fit being too narrow like other brands that I’ve tried in stores. The material isn’t super stiff so it makes it easy to go on long rides! I love the adjustability of the cleat rails since it gives me a chance to try out different positions and I’m not just locked in one place forever. Overall the design of the shoe looks really cool and seems to have kept comfort in mind. The only thing that bothers me at all is that the videos provided for the products are not so informative. You get the general gist of how to put things together but not more in depth information on why things work in certain ways and how to fit them properly to your own fit. It would be nice for future costumers to have that info and even more details to get them started right! Thank you for these great shoes/pedals!"

The first real ride I

"The first real ride I did in these shoes was a 50-mile event using Crankbrothers Candy pedals on my road/gravel bike, and I never noticed them at all. They just disappeared into the background, which is high praise: No pain, no discomfort, nothing to think about! Of course I spent some time setting up the cleats and taking little spins around my street to check the cleat location, but even that was easy thanks to the markings on the bottom of the shoes. The fit lines made it straightforward to get both cleats in the same location on their respective shoes. The build quality is evident and much better than my old shoes from Shimano. Just looking at them, I was afraid they might be too narrow (I usually like a wide toe box), but they feel just right. However, one thing to note: I usually wear a 10. 5 in my street shoes, but I often size up to 11 in running and cycling shoes to allow for foot swelling, and I'm glad I did with these. This is not to say that the shoes run small, but just that I appreciated having a little more room to work with. The laces made it easy to dial in a good fit. So far, these are my favorite clipless cycling shoes I've ever had, and I have had a few different brands over the years. Durability is yet to be determined, but judging by the apparent build quality, I'm not worried about that at all. Looking forward to getting years of good use out of these!"

this is my first pair

"this is my first pair of clip-ins, so far i'm really enjoying the better power transfer and feeling of control. The shoes themselves have a comfortable fit and I don't find myself getting any hot spots after longer rides anymore."

Great fit, super comfy!

"Ordered these to go with my new gravel bike as they look sleek and the color fits perfectly. Upon unboxing my first thought was they might be a tad narrow (especially compared to the Mallet Lace shoes I ordered to go with my MTB), but they fit perfectly and are super comfy, the cleats were easy to install as well. I've yet to put them to the test in terms of durability, but I'm really not worried about them falling apart any time soon. . ."

I swore off clipless pedals

"I swore off clipless pedals and shoes a few years back, preferring mid foot pedaling on big spiky pedals. But then I decided to get back into riding fixed gear, and toe straps weren't cutting it (in terms of safety and performance). So after doing some research on clipless shoes that allow a proper mid foot cleat placement I arrived at the Candy Lace. I'm a huge fan-- the shoes are comfortable, there's lots of room to move the cleat around, and they have a vintage randonneur meets modern look to them that I dig. They're plenty stiff IMO though not the absolute stiffest on the market (which is fine by me)."

I am extremely happy. I

"I am extremely happy. I wear size 11 vans and the fit is perfect. Very comfortable. These are the best gravel cycling shoes I have worn yet."

I like the shoe, especially

"I like the shoe, especially the stability from the wider sole. I just stopped using my sidi road shoes which have a heel pad the size of a quarter. I'm 75 and worry about falling every time I get on or off my bike. The crankbrother shoe gives me more confidence."

Love these! Tried a different

"Love these! Tried a different pair of crankbros shoes (mallet trail) and although I wanted to like them, I found my heel to slip out of them when pedaling hard or walking. These, on the other hand, feel more secure in the heel and fit my feet great. They're lightweight, have plenty of bottom grip, and are great on and off the bike. Not to mention they look great. I personally found sizing to be fairly accurate - I wear a size 10. 5 in pretty much all of my technical/running/hiking shoes, and while the 10. 5 in these would likely have worked, I did find a half a size down, 10, fit better and more secure without being constricting."
