Welcome To A Better Friday

This Thanksgiving weekend, we will donate 20% of all website proceeds to Wheels4Life, a charitable organization founded by our friend Hans Rey and his wife Carmen that provides bicycles to those in need in the developing world.

Working with local volunteers and organizations in countries such as Uganda, Malawai, and Nepal, Wheels 4 Life ensures that bicycle riding, safety, and basic maintenance instruction is provided to the recipients. To date, Wheels 4 Life has donated over 14850 bikes and looks to continue this impressive legacy for many years to come. For local people in these parts of the world, a bike can make a massive difference to their day-to-day life, with the closest school, doctor, or workplace being as far as 10 to 20 miles away.

Something as simple as a bike can have a hugely positive effect on someone's life - it might mean that a child can now travel to school, a farmer may be able to take a more significant load to the market, or a nurse can visit more patients. Wheels 4 Life provides two different types of bicycles: a standard bike for around $150US and an ambulance bike with custom-built first aid trailers for approximately $300US.

A person can travel four times farther, four times faster, and with four times the load with a bicycle than on foot. There is a need for millions of more bicycles, so over this long weekend, help us to donate more bikes

If you would like to donate further to this cause, please head to the Wheels 4 Life website - www.wheels4life.org
