The ramped cleat box offers easy front and rear pedal entry and mud shedding. A Race Zone setback on the cleat track allows the cleat to be positioned further toward the heel for added control and stability when descending.

Our mid-friction rubber compound (MC1) allows for easy pedal entry and exit and is hard enough to hold up to wear and tear. The radial lug pattern around the cleat box is designed to provide smooth release from the pedal body.

Match Outsole

The tread pattern is designed for traction off the bike. Directionally angled and spaced toe and heel lugs offer traction for hiking up or down steep terrain. The ramped toe provides walkability on steep terrain.

Sizing out

"It is quite a bummer. I am sitting in South Africa. I ordered these shoes from the United States. So they were imported. They arrived and the sizing is slightly out. For instance I am always a 11. 5. My previous writing shoes from Specialized is also this size. I took my time to carefully look at the excising chart and figure out exactly what I must order and the size were still wrong. I think crankbrothers need to update the sizing chart and make it more easy to understand. Otherwise these shoes look absolutely awesome. But I haven’t ridden them yet so I can’t give any comment there."

I was unsure if I

"I was unsure if I was going to need a 10 or 10. 5 since I have a pair of Shimano GE7’s and Adidas 510s. I decided to go with a 10 after talking to customer service and because it was the last size in the color way. The left shoe fit perfectly and after I did the double sock with toilet paper followed up with a spoon to stretch the toe box on the right it fits perfectly as well. I have put over 250 miles this past month in central Texas and have had two major crashes in the gnarley rock gardens and drops out here. After a quick wipe down they still look brand new. I have it paired with the Mallet pedals and the 0° easy release and have been loving them"

Hello, I have Mallet E pedals and I would like to know if your Mallet shoes are compatible with the pedals. Because I own fiveten shoes, and when my foot is behind, I can't unclip correctly. Is the size 45 too big? thank you for your reply
Hello Bibou, Thanks for your question. The pedals are compatible with any clip-in shoe that features the two-bolt mounting pattern on the bottom for the cleats. We recommend experimenting with the shim height of your cleats if you're having trouble unclipping with your FiveTen shoes; also check to ensure that the cleats are orientated correctly with the left cleat on the left shoe, and the right cleat on the right shoe.
