Only hand-tighten the main seal head on the outer tube. Over tightening it will prevent the post from fully extending smoothly. Grease all surfaces of the rail clamp, including bolt threads, washer, inside of silver “fingers”.
A. Grease all surfaces of the rail clamp, including bolt threads, washer, and inside, where the rail clamp meets the seat rails.
B. Tighten Main rail Clamp Bolt to 130-150in/lb 14.5-17Nm. (tight!)
C. Torque lower 10mm nut to MAX. 40in/lb
D. Re-grease internal brass key way and glide rings frequently.
E. On the joplin r model, apply a drop of blue locktite on the 2.5mm adjuster bolt in the actuation lever.
F. Grease the cable anchor bolt.
G. Make sure to use the cable sheath across the top of the seat post head on the joplin
