compatability
All crankbrothers bottom brackets are compatible with either a 68 or 73mm bottom bracket shell. To use the bottom bracket with a 68mm shell you would leave the included spacer on the drive-side cup and omit the spacer for a 73mm shell.
spindle length
There are 2 spindle lengths offered. The Cobalt is a 113mm
spindle designed for mountain or triple chain ring cranksets.
The Cyan is a 108mm spindle for use with road or double chain
ring cranksets.
seals
Only the Cobalt comes with the additional exterior seals.
noise
If your Crankbrothers bottom bracket is making a creaking noise, it can most likely be fixed by cleaning. Remove the part from the frame and clean all of the threads. Then apply grease or Teflon tape and reinstall.
